Game Of Life, the best known model constructed following concepts of cellular automata (many webpages are devoted to this kind of models, see for instance this wikipedia page). Cellular automata type of models are also used for modelling dynamic spatial patterns in landscape, such as forest fire models, plant dispersal models.
